张春教授现任上海交通大学上海高级金融学院金融学教授、汇付天下讲席教授，2010—2021年任学院执行院长。张春教授曾是中欧国际工商学院主管研究的副教务长、荷兰银行风险管理讲席教授，此前还曾在明尼苏达大学卡尔森管理学院担任金融学教授。张春是新中国成立后，首位在美国大学执教金融学的中国学者，也是第一位放弃美国大学终身教职全职回国工作的。
张春的研究领域是公司金融、宏观金融、组织和制度经济学，近期关注离岸人民币金融体系与国际金融体系重构，数据要素与通证经济学，国家多生产要素配置体系的比较与创新，以及宏观经济政策范式的演变与重构等议题。迄今已发表高水平国内外学术论文30余篇，刊登于Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis等众多国际知名学术期刊，此外还合作出版多本专著，如《写给中国企业家的公司财务》（北大出版社，2006年）、《公司金融学》（人大出版社，2008年）、《供应链金融》（上海远东出版社，2009年，深圳发展银行中欧课题组，由张春任组长）。张春教授曾获得2016年度孙冶方金融创新奖，并曾多次主持国家自然科学基金重点和面上项目。张春教授2018年获得SAIF教授杰出学术研究奖。
张春教授曾担任中国留美经济学会会长，2005-2009年间担任研究中国经济的重要国际期刊《中国经济评论CER》的执行主编。
