“Wind: I really liked the introduction video and the product showcase where we explored the AI assistant, Alice's capabilities together. I saw some discrepancies but for a first-generation product, it is impressive how fast and seamless Alice was and was able to pull information in seconds, and create charts and transform them as per instructions. Their office is beautiful, with artwork everywhere and a very homely guest receiving area, and I think their benefits are unique, especially the birthday holiday and the work culture seems very collaborative.添禄投资 (Turing Lake): We had an office tour, from stunning views of Xintiandi and the Shanghai skyline to the fun-loving office culture and the multicultural celebrations, so every employee from all over the world feels celebrated. We met with the CEO and several employees and the event felt very student centered. I enjoyed the panel as it answered several of the burning questions I had and market making game where we learnt trading strategy and could showcase our skills in a low pressure environment. I met some SJTU students who are currently working for them in internship roles. I enjoyed the coffee hour where I could talk to the CEO and HR, and that their company structure is not hierarchical, so every employee has the chance to lead and make a difference.”

“After these visits, I walked away with a much clearer impression of what work in the quant industry can look like. One point that really stuck with me was hearing that not every problem comes with a clean solution, and that the real world can be a lot messier than school. Beyond that, it was helpful to see what companies in this space focus on: building useful tools, using data in a smart way, and applying AI to support real decisions and streamline automation. I also liked seeing what they value in people. Yes, strong technical skills matter, but so do curiosity, clear thinking, and genuinely loving what you do. Another thing that stayed with me is that even in highly technical roles, communication is still crucial. Being able to explain your reasoning clearly, ask the right questions, and work smoothly with others is a big part of doing the job well. Overall, these visits were genuinely interesting and left me more motivated than I was before.”
